I'm still here!

Well, I'm still kicking! Life has been hectic - hell, life is always hectic. Got through the summer with all the kids home - playing chauffeur and chief bottle washer. Now that everyone is back in school, I have some time to get onto all of those projects that have been begging to be worked on. I'm designing/creating an entire cast of costumes for a theatrical production of Alladin. It's crazy fun!! And I have several orders for memory quilts. My current project is a slip cover for my bedroom love seat. I promise I'll post pictures as soon as I can find the camera that my daughter has hidden! Hang tight a bit longer... I swear I'm going to keep up with this blog thing!!!

The Steps...

Steps to make a clutch wallet...
quilting...

Cut out the pattern...Assembling...

Clutch wallets are a Success!

I showed the last clutch around, and people started just loved it. I quickly made a teal and brown one as a special order and immediately got another order for a gator version. Now, despite my indifference to any other team besides the Tarheels - I jumped right on that Gator bandwagon and sewed till I couldn't sew no mo! Here is the detail of the construction, just in case you were wondering.

See ya, quilt!

Just keep going! I am working away on a cute, cute clutch bag. It started as a panel from a crazy quilt that I was working on. Got bored with the quilt and decided to cut up the panel for the clutch. Now I am sewing on a bit of trim and buttons while I sit waiting in the car loop at school. I'll put up pictures soon. I'm sure this is of very little interest to anyone - as I have no readers. But, thought I'd post it anyway just to encourage myself to keep at it. Otherwise my life is so mundane!

I didn't fall off the face of the Earth!

Maybe I didn't actually fall off of the face of the earth, but it sure does feel like it some days. Feels like I've been hanging on by one fingernail. I've been knocking myself out with crazy, crazy volunteer work. And I just need to stop it! I know I've said it before, but now I am going to get motivated! (Sound familiar?!) I'm sure you think that I am off my rocker, and have no chance in hell of actually following through. But I just can't allow my dreams to die. So, I've made a list of items I am going to make. And, I am going to just do it. Focus, Suz... just focus!
